What is Aroon?
Aroon measures how many periods since the highest high (Aroon Up) and lowest low (Aroon Down) over N periods. Range is 0-100.
- Aroon Up = 100: New high just made
- Aroon Down = 100: New low just made
- Aroon = 0: No high/low in N periods
Interpretation
Bullish
- Aroon Up > 70
- Aroon Down < 30
- Aroon Up crosses above Down
Bearish
- Aroon Down > 70
- Aroon Up < 30
- Aroon Down crosses above Up
Aroon Oscillator
Aroon Oscillator = Aroon Up - Aroon Down. Ranges from -100 to +100.
- Above 0 = bullish trend
- Below 0 = bearish trend
- Near 0 = consolidation
