What is Vortex?
The Vortex Indicator consists of two lines that measure positive (upward) and negative (downward) trend movement.
- VI+: Measures upward price movement
- VI-: Measures downward price movement
- Crossovers: Signal trend changes
Trading Signals
- VI+ crosses above VI-: Bullish signal, enter long
- VI- crosses above VI+: Bearish signal, enter short
- Wide separation: Strong trend
- Lines close together: Weak trend or consolidation
